Title: Let Me Know
Author: Stina Lindenblatt Publisher/Publication Date: Carina Press, September 1, 2014 BLURB
This shouldn't be happening
again…
Amber Scott thought her screaming nightmares would end now that
her stalker is locked up and awaiting trial. But they return when her
slam-dunk case starts to fall apart. Explicit letters she allegedly wrote
surface, suggesting she was the mastermind behind her assault, a willing
victim.
Amber only feels safe in the arms of her boyfriend Marcus, the
one person she can lean on. Until damning evidence from Marcus's past
collides with the case and the media circus drags them both down. To protect
Amber's reputation, Marcus has only one option: end their relationship. He
won't risk further damage to her case, even if it means breaking her heart.
Amber has to find the strength to step into the spotlight and
bring awareness to victims' rights before she's convicted in the court of
public opinion. And she's really not sure what's worse—that her kidnapper
could walk free, or that the seemingly endless attention and speculation will
drive Marcus away permanently…
See how it all began for
Amber and Marcus in Tell
Me When.

EXCERPT
Amber
We lie here for a few minutes, a
tangle of limbs, both lost in each other, not wanting to move anytime soon.
And we don’t have to. Mom won’t be up for another four hours. I just have to
make sure I’m in my room before then.
“Tell me about your Christmases,”
Marcus says. “What were they like?”
I smile softly, caught up in the
memories. “Wonderful. My brother and I would sneak down early and check out
the presents Santa left us. Emma and Trent used to come over after lunch and
we’d hang out. Then my grandparents would come over for dinner and Michael
and I would stay up late.” As hard as I try, I can’t keep the sadness out of
my voice. My grandfather died several years ago, so I’m used to his not being
around for Christmas. It’s Michael and Trent’s absence that is new and fills
me with an unwelcome heaviness. If Marcus weren’t here, I have no idea how I
would survive.
I snuggle closer to him and smile.
Even though we were forced to be quieter than usual, the sex was amazingly
hot. Hot enough to say what happened between us is now one of my favorite
Christmas morning memories.
“Tell me about you and Ryan. What
were your Christmases like?” I stroke the side of his face. This isn’t just
my first Christmas without Michael. It’s Marcus’s first Christmas without his
brother. It’s why I wanted him to be here with me during the holidays. No one
should be alone today when they’re filled with this much pain. And although
Marcus pretends to be stoic when it comes to Ryan, I’ve noticed in the past
week he, too, is experiencing the same heaviness.
He smiles, the emotion behind it
filled with neither happiness nor sadness. It’s more an act of comfort, for
him, for me, because what he has to tell me won’t be something out of It’s
a Wonderful Life.

All About FINN, Teaser & Giveaway: Fractured Lines by Jen McLaughlin
Fractured Lines by Jen McLaughlin will be releasing October 14th, but first we have some exclusive content to share. Each week, FINNClub team members are sharing special details from the book, and series, in order to share their excitement for the new novel.
Today we have a post that is all about FINN!
Finn Coram
As one
reviewer put it, “Oh, Finn, Finn, Finn, Finn-ey, Finn, Finn.”
There’s just
something about Finn from the OUT OF LINE series that makes female hearts go
aflutter. Maybe it’s the fact that he was/is a Marine. Maybe it’s the Harley he
rides. Maybe it’s the surfing. Or the fact that he can kick ass without even
breaking a sweat.
I’m not sure
what it is, but there’s just something that makes him irresistible to readers
and myself alike. When I wrote their third book (which was planned to be the
last) it was so bittersweet. Being in Finn’s head was just so much FUN. He’s protective,
but daring. Sweet, but dominant. Hot, but sensitive.
When I
thought we were done forever, I was sad, but okay with it. After the readers
had finished, I got countless emails begging me to continue the story. I didn’t
think it was possible, but then…it hit me. I could write Finn as an adult! And
so FRACTURED LINES came into existence.
Teaser
The lines we once crossed so easily have widened and torn us apart…
Once upon a time I thought Finn and I would live happily ever after, but real life doesn't always have a happy ending. He's testing my trust, and I'm losing faith in the man I thought I'd spend the rest of my life with, and there’s nothing I do can stop it. He’s the one I trusted to keep me safe, but now he’s the source of my greatest pain…
Forgiveness is fragile, and some fractures never fully heal...
One mistake—a slip in a moment of weakness—might cost me everything I've worked so hard for. The thing about trust is that it's a lot easier to lose than it is to build. Just as I'm about to give up and surrender to the demons from my past, an unexpected threat reminds me what I'm best at: protecting the woman I love. Whether or not she wants me, I will fight for Carrie and our daughter, and I will keep them safe—no matter the cost.
Even if I have to put my life and my heart on the line.
PRE-ORDER SALE
FRACTURED LINES is now up for pre-order on amazon! If you purchase the book before its release day it will be just .99 cents! This is for pre-orders only! Grab it while it's on sale.

Teaser Day 6: Shallow by Georgia Cates
Shallow Teaser #5
Nick Hawke’s POV
She licks her lips as she looks at my mouth.
My heart throbs in my ears. I’m certain I’ll die if I don’t kiss her soon so
I reach for the back of her neck and pull her closer as I slide in her
direction on the sofa.
Kissing is not my thing. It’s too intimate
and emotional—much more so than sex. I never kiss a girl for longer than it
takes me to get to the place I want to be—in her panties.
But as with everything else Payton related,
this is different. She makes me want to permanently attach my mouth to hers.
I’m content with making out with her all day and taking it no further.
Her lips leave mine and trail kisses along
my chin and jaw until they reach the side of my neck. I rest my head against
the back of the couch, giving her full access. She takes advantage.
Her lips hit that sensitive spot below my
ear and my switch is instantly flipped. I put my hand to my crotch to adjust.
“Payton, I mean this in the best possible way but … you’re killing me,” I
groan under my breath. “You have me so turned on, I’m about to bust my swim
trunks.”
She giggles. “Is that so?” She continues
kissing my neck, ignoring my warning. “I’d love to see your version of The Incredible Hulk.”
She has no idea what she’s doing to me. It’s
sweet torture.
We hear voices coming and scramble to look
like nothing in particular is going on.
It’s Jesse and Claire coming out of the
house. Awesome. They’ve been inside for almost two hours and they choose now
to reemerge.
I slide toward the end of the couch and
point at the stack of throw pillows behind Payton. “Toss me one of those.”
“You need a nap?” she asks as she reaches
for one.
I point at the crotch of my trunks and she
laughs as she tosses it in my direction. “Throw pillow, also known as a boner
barrier.”
I playfully hit her with it before putting
it in my lap. “Not funny.”
She laughs. “I disagree, Hulk.”
I’d hate to know how many inconvenient
hard-ons this girl has caused. Whatever the number, it just went up by one.

Teaser Day 5: Going Under by Georgia Cates
Going Under Teaser #5
Claire Deveraux’s POV
He looks concerned when I don’t make a move toward the bed. “Are
you sure this is what you want?”
I nod because I’m rendered speechless by the anticipation of
sharing a bed with this beautiful man tonight.
I walk to my side of the bed and we turn back the linens,
climbing in together. I roll onto my side to face him and prop my head in my
hand. My bedside lamp gives off a dim glow but it’s enough to allow me a good
look at him.
I examine his tattoo first. This is the first time I’ve had the
opportunity to really look at it in its entirety. It extends much further
into his shoulder and chest than I guessed. I trace its intricate detail with
my fingertips.
He smiles as my fingers glide over his skin. “Why are you so
fascinated by my ink? It’s just a tattoo.”
“I’m not fascinated. I just really like it—a lot. I love what it
says about you.”
“What exactly does it say about me?” he asks.
I trace a black curve with my finger. “That you don’t care what
anyone thinks. You’re living for you, not everyone else or what they want for
you.”
“I think you’re reading more into it. I really got it so the
ladies would think I’m hot.” He smirks.
I feel a pang of jealousy when I think of Jesse with another
girl touching him this way. “Just how many girls have seen your whole
tattoo?” I’m questioning him about girls seeing his tattoo, but what I’m
really asking is an entirely different question.
“Don’t go there, Claire. You won’t like the answer.” This is his
way of warning me I won’t be able to handle the truth. Maybe I can’t. The
thought of him sleeping with another girl makes me sick.

Teasers Day 4: Going Under & Shallow by Georgia Cates
Going Under Teaser #4
Claire Deveraux’s POV
Once we’re started on the assignment, I catch Jesse staring at
me. Suddenly self-conscious, I run my palms down each of my cheeks. “What are
you looking at? Do I have something on my face?”
“You do.” He reaches out, grazing the back of his fingers
against my cheek. “You’ve got a little beautiful right there.”
The heat rises because I’m not used to such direct compliments.
Forbes doesn’t do romantic. He’s too busy planning how he’ll get what he
wants from me.
“You want to kiss me, don’t you?” God, do I ever.
He’s daring—and I love it—so I decide to return the boldness.
“You have no idea how much.”
He isn’t going to back down. I see his determination but as I
recall, he warned me about that. “I bet I have a pretty good idea since I
probably want to kiss you just as much. Maybe more.”
We’re alone—most likely safe from being seen—but not guaranteed
so it makes it so much more exciting. The thrill of being caught by someone
makes my heart pump faster. I look into his pale blue eyes, willing him to
lean forward and take the kiss I’m prepared to give him.
“I’ll do it,” he threatens.
“Then stop talking about it.” I know the sure-fire way to seal
the deal. “I dare you.”
Bingo. I see it in his eyes. He’s in full-on badass mode. “I
warned you I don’t back down.”
“That’s what I’m counting on.”
I imagine him leaning forward to steal a quick kiss but he
doesn’t. He takes my hand and leads me across the library. He looks in every
direction before opening a door and pulling me into a storage room I didn’t
know existed. He shuts the door behind us and locks it.
Oh God. What’s he going to do?
He places his hands around my waist and pulls me close, our
faces almost touching. “Believe me yet?”
“No. I need more proof.”
“I was hoping you’d say that.”
He places sweet, soft kisses on my lips and my legs threaten to
crumble beneath me. His mouth migrates to my neck and up to my ear where he
sucks my lobe. I let him because I know the door is locked.
Shallow Teaser #4
Payton Archer’s POV
“Okay, if you say …” That’s all I get out
because Nick grabs the back of my neck and pulls me toward him, stretching
halfway for a kiss. He presses his lips against mine and a fire rages that
has nothing to do with the aftermath of pepper spray.
I open my mouth a little and he slides his
tongue in between my teeth to tease me so I’ll open wider. He slides up to
sit and turns his head to the side so his tongue can join mine in a romantic
waltz. He tastes like mint with a hint of spice, sort of like pepper. The
realization makes me smile and I feel him grin against my mouth.
His hands are on each side of my face and I
revel in the moment. It’s the kind of kiss I’ve always longed for. It’s
perfect in all ways but one. He’s a total player.
A car starts outside and I jerk away. Must
be his dad. How did he get past us? I never even heard the door open.
Nick holds my face and I can feel his breath
against my lips. “I’ve gotta go. Your dad is waiting.”
“He’ll wait,” he says breathlessly as he
leans forward to possess my mouth again. I stop him by pressing my forehead
to his.
“It’s rude to keep him waiting.”
He rubs his thumbs up and down my cheeks.
“Can I call you tomorrow?”
I don’t respond. I only nod and he smiles
because it’s the answer he wants. I halfway expect—and maybe even hope—he’ll
pull me in for another kiss. He doesn’t, so I walk out the front door without
looking back. I’m afraid I’ll run back for more if I do.

Teasers Day 3: Going Under & Shallow by Georgia Cates
Going Under Teaser #3
Jesse Boone’s POV
Somewhere between Point A and Point B, something has gone
astray. Screwing Claire was the perfect vengeance against Forbes but spending
time with her has changed everything. I didn’t plan on liking her so much—or
at all—but I do. I wasn’t supposed to become emotionally involved but I have.
I drive away from her tonight realizing my heart doesn’t care a thing about
my original intentions.
She thinks I pulled away because I was on the verge of ravishing
her. That much is true but it isn’t why I needed to distance myself. I want
her in a different kind of way––one I’m not good enough for and requiring me
to give more of myself than I’m willing to share.
She was freely giving herself to me tonight. I never expected
that. I’m stoked about it––but spooked as well.
Once I’m home, I lie in bed recalling the taste of her skin and
the breathless way she allowed me to kiss her. I wanted her more than air in
my lungs and that’s a problem. It means I’ve lost sight of the prize. I no
longer desire screwing her as a way to get to Forbes. I want her for myself.
I need to get a grip. To have a girl like Claire means allowing
her to be a part of my life, and I’m not willing to go there. I can’t risk
her knowing my past, or even my present. I can’t bear seeing my true self in
her eyes.
Shallow Teaser #3
Nick Hawke’s POV
I lick my lips as I look at her shiny gloss, imagining how soft
and slick her mouth would be against mine. I’ve never wanted to lean in for a
kiss so badly in all my life. Being at the top of this Ferris wheel with her
couldn’t be more perfect but I can’t do it. I’m too scared.
I’m Nick Hawke—a sexpert and fearless daredevil—but that doesn’t
matter. I’m too chickenshit to kiss this girl because she’s wonderful and
perfect and different—everything I never knew I wanted—so I don’t want to
blow it by pushing too hard, too fast.
The wheel stops to load another couple. “I’m sorry I didn’t say
this already, but thank you for taking care of my drunk ass last night. I
didn’t think I’d get wasted after two drinks. Guess I drank them too fast.”
I reach for her hand and give it a squeeze. “I didn’t mind. It
was my pleasure—puke and all.”
She shakes her head while looking down. “Liar.” She laughs. “The
whole thing with Cooper was stupid. I guess I tried to make him be my version
of Jesse. I know that’s a weird thing to say. I’m sort of messed up that
way.” She looks up at me. “I’m sorry. I don’t know why I told you that.”
Claire’s right. She’s seeing her relationship with Cooper for
what it is.
All the carriages are loaded so we rise and fall as the wheel
rotates. A gust of wind picks up as we soar to the top. A wild strand of hair
blows into her face, sticking in her lip gloss. I can’t resist the excuse to
touch her so I reach forward to set it free.
All I can taste and breathe is this moment with her. Our time
together will be over soon and I don’t want to go home without telling her I
have to see her again.
I twirl the wild strand around my fingers before tucking it
behind her ear. “You told me you wouldn’t go out with me because you were
looking for something different, but you’re here with me now.”
A painful expression crosses her face. “You’ve been really sweet
to me and I’ve had a wonderful time with you tonight—as a friend—but we can
never be more than that. You’ve gone through too many girls.”
“I used protection every time without fail. I swear I haven’t
caught anything, if that’s what you’re worried about.”
She’s blushing. Shit. I think I’ve embarrassed her. “I’m glad to
hear that you had the good sense to practice safe sex but that’s not what I
mean. I’m looking for something lasting and you’re looking for your next
romp.”
She has this all wrong. “I know that’s what you think, but I’m
not.”
“You are, and I’m a quest. I won’t flip on to my back for you
and it’s driving you crazy because it’s new territory.”
“That’s not true.”
“It’s only a matter of time before you grow tired of me and move
on to the next chase. If we leave well enough alone, we’ll walk away from
this unscathed. We might even be friends.”
I want to be so much more than friends. I want Payton Archer for
reasons other than sex.
I am being honest with myself about what I really want for the
first time in a long time.
“You’re wrong, but it’s going to take a while for you to see
that. In the meantime, I’ll take your friendship.”

Teasers Day 2: Going Under & Shallow by Georgia Cates
Going Under Teaser #2
Claire Deveraux’s POV
He leans away so he can see my face. “I haven’t
heard this song in a long time. What’s the name of it?”
“‘Kiss Me.’” I know it like the back of my hand.
I’ve listened to it a million times.
“I thought you’d never ask.” He releases my hand
and waist and places both palms on my face. He pulls me closer for our first
kiss but doesn’t start at my lips. He teases me first, trailing his lips
along my neck below my ear. My whole body tingles. I breathe deeply, lightheaded
as he moves lower on my neck and then around to the other side.
When he finishes torturing me, he moves his
mouth across my jaw toward my lips. Even his breathing has deepened.
But it’s my turn to torment him.
I tease him, pulling my mouth just out of reach
each time he advances. He groans after several attempts and suddenly tugs me
so close I can’t escape. And I don’t want to.
His mouth claims mine, and I allow him. He
tastes minty, not a trace of smoke, and I’m surprised.
I smile against his lips when he stops. “You
tricked me. You said you wouldn’t kiss me until I asked you to.”
“‘Kiss me.’ Those were your words. I was only
doing what you told me since I know a princess can throw a fit when she
doesn’t get her way.”
We’re still standing in the middle of the field
so I walk backward, pulling him with me until we’re at his truck, my back
pressed against the door. “Now I’m telling you to do it again.”
He kisses my forehead and each of my cheeks
before finally getting to my mouth. He deepens our kiss and takes my breath
away. My head spins as I wrap my arms around his shoulders and squeeze
tightly. I yank his body hard against mine, crushing my breasts against his
chest. I lift my chin, giving him full access to my neck.
The way he makes me feel is insane, like I would
let him do anything he wants to me in this moment. I’ve never felt anything
like this in my life.
“Claire, I need a minute.”
He steps away and runs his hands through his
hair. He takes a deep breath and then blows it out slowly.
“Are you okay?”
He’s standing several feet away with his fingers
laced over the top of his head, looking up at the night sky. “Yeah, but you
may not be if we don’t stop now.”
His words spark an excitement in me because I
understand his meaning. He wants
me. Bad. And I realize I don’t want to be okay
if it means he’s going to stop here.
Shallow Teaser #2
Nick Hawke’s POV
I push
aside a lock of hair in her face. I’m thinking she can’t be more beautiful
but then she smiles and proves me wrong.
“You’re
so damn beautiful.” I blurt it without thinking.
Where
did that come from? I’ve never told any girl anything like that before––not
even to get what I wanted from her.
She
doesn’t say a word as she returns my stare.
This
is a night of firsts for me. I’ve told a girl she’s beautiful––and meant it.
Now, I’m about to ask her out on a date––a real one––because I like her and
she’s interesting, not so I can get her into my back seat.
“I
would really like to take you out.” She doesn’t reply. “I know Jesse’s told
you to be leery of me but I promise I’ll be on my best behavior. I’ll be a …
saint.” That brings a grin to her face. “You can choose where we go and what
we do. Dinner? Movie? You name it. We’ll do whatever you want.”
Pleading
for a date isn’t something I’ve ever done. I’m standing before this girl
waiting for an answer with the highest of hopes.
Our
slow song ends and “Scream” by Usher comes on. But I don’t let her go. We
stand in the middle of the dance floor and I wait for her agreement.
“No.”
That’s all she gives me before pushing away and leaving me staring after her.
