Blind Spotby Katana Collins Publication Date: August 8, 2016 Genres: Adult, Entangled: Embrace, New Adult, RomanceBUY
Synopsis
I’m used to going for the easy things in life.
The easy A in school.
The easy lay in bed.
The easy life my trust fund affords me.
Until I met Shelby.
Never in my life have I found retro T-shirts and ChapStick so damn sexy.
She’s exactly what I never knew I wanted.
And she’s *anything* but easy.
But suddenly, easy is overrated.
Only one damn problem… For Shelby, *hating me* is easy.
For the first time in my life, I have to work for something. And though
she may not be easy…she’ll be worth it.
Excerpt
I lifted a section of her
bangs that were caked in white our and something gooey. Was that...ew, was it
egg?
She jerked away, smoothing
her palm down her bangs, capturing a bit of the gunky mixture that gathered
there. Crap, I forgot about not touching her hair. What had happened to her to
cause such an extreme reaction? A biting pain twisted in my stomach at the
thought that someone may have hurt her. I tried not to react, but tension
pinched my expression through my forced smile. “You have egg or something in
your hair.” This time, I slowly brought my hand to her, scooping the goo out of
her bangs. “There, got it.”
Pushing her bottom lip out
in an exaggerated pout, she looked up at me. Her brown eyes seemed even bigger
somehow. “I was trying to make you croissants.”
“You baked for me? Oh, you so
like me.”
She slapped my shoulder,
and I caught her hand, pulling her flush against my body. God, I wanted to kiss
her. That made it difficult to step away. Instead, I swept my thumb across her
cheekbone, wiping off some flour there and holding my white-stained finger in
front of her eyes. “I see the baking is going really well.”
She laughed at that, her
head dropping into her hands. “Oh my God, look at me. I’m a freaking mess.”
“Maybe they’ll be
delicious.”
“Maybe they’ll taste like
charcoal.”
I swallowed, my throat
feeling like something had lodged there. “Maybe I won’t care.”
“Maybe you have a death
wish.”
“More like a Shelby wish.”

Blog Tour, Excerpt & Giveaway: Text Me Maybe by Jolyse Barnett
Text Me, Maybeby Jolyse Barnett Publication Date: August 8, 2016 Genres: Adult, Entangled: Lovestruck, RomanceBUYNew to the Big Apple, the last thing Lexie Bloom needs is to fall for two guys at once. Especially when she can’t have either. One is her personal trainer, an Adonis way out of her league. The other? A Brit Lit professor her svelte boss insists she woo for her—via text message, no less. Little does she know, the two are the same man… Matthew Hennessey is intrigued by his shy new client at the gym. But before he gets the chance to ask her out, he discovers she’s the one crafting the flirty texts sent to him by a woman who wouldn’t know Lord Byron from Lady Gaga. To get to know her better, he allows Lexie to play her role. She may have given up on the idea of romance, but Matthew’s bound and determined to show her love is alive and well in New York City. Excerpt
Lexie
sat up and unfolded her legs, then leaned back, her arms braced behind her.
Mighty, dark-haired Thor was her trainer for three more weeks. Whatever
relationship they had would end with her last session. “I’ll call that last one
the hot pretzel,” she said, and stood when he did.
He laughed, towering over her. “You
hungry?”
Uh, yeah. For you. The air
stalled in her lungs. No. Just say no.
“Okay then, for the next exercise,
we’ll start with legs waist-width apart.”
She widened her stance, hands on
hips.
Matthew glanced at her and leaned
close to nudge her right foot out a few inches. “Keep breathing.”
She tingled with awareness. “Hot.”
He slid his hands along the outside
of her arms, and a jolt shot through her shoulders and landed in her belly. Whoa.
She forced the air out then happily breathed him in. “Relax. Let your arms drop
by your side.” He lifted his muscular arms above his head on an inhale and
returned to his starting position on the exhale. “Now, do it with me.”
I’d love to. You look like lily
pond royalty, but how do I know for sure?
“Bring your arms down to your sides.
Nice, controlled movement. Excellent. Nine more times.” He backed up. “Keep
going. Nice.” He perched on the edge of the bench, his gaze intent. After the
tenth, temperature-raising rep, he grinned. “Very, very nice warm-up.”
“Okay. Didn’t strike me as anything
spectacular, but thanks.” Lexie turned to grab her water bottle, stopping when
she caught sight of herself in the mirror. She whipped around, towel clutched
to her chest. “Why didn’t you say something? I look like a freaking wet T-shirt
contest girl! You just let me keep going, watching the whole time, and couldn’t
clue me in?”
“Sorry, didn’t notice.” He lifted
his water bottle, his throat working as he took a long, deep drink.
“Like hell you are, and like hell
you didn’t,” she retorted, struggling to hold on to her anger in the face of
his steady, kind gaze. She tossed the towel onto the mat. “Don’t think I’m not
into, I mean, onto you.”
Oh God, I could just die. Did I
really just say that? It’s not a Freudian slip. It’s not. It can’t be.
“No worries. I won’t.”
The catch in his voice had her
turning toward him, melting any lingering anger and frustration.
Why am I going all crazy-girl on
him again? I knew I’d get sweaty. Hot yoga. Duh.
She moved toward him, heedless of
the consequences, his eyes inviting her in.
Inches from the man she feared could
hurt her a thousand times worse than any of the guys she’d ever liked before, a
startling realization punched her square in the face. She’d been so wrong about
a phrase she’d openly mocked in a lit class discussion about romantic prose.
Weak with desire really was a thing.
Because if Matthew chose that moment to kiss her— Crap, if he wanted to roll
her onto her back right there on the textured mat—she couldn’t guarantee she’d
have an ounce of willpower to deny him.

It seems the things worth keeping
are often the hardest to hold...
I had two things in life that mattered. My mother and my music. Mama was taken from me too soon, and now music is all I have left. It’s the thing that’s pushed me right out of backwoods Georgia into Los Angeles, where the line between fantasy and reality shimmers and blurs. I’m finally making my way, making my mark. I can’t afford to fall for one of music's brightest stars. Not now. Music is all I have left, and I’m holding on tight with both hands. I won’t let go, not even for Rhyson Gray. RHYSON I had one thing in my life that mattered – music. The only constant, it’s taken me to heights most people only dream about; a gift dropped in my lap at birth. I thought it was enough. I thought it was everything until I met Kai. Now she’s all I think about, like a song I can't get out of my head. If I have to chase her, if I have to give up everything - I will. And once she's mine, I won't let go.

Launch Day Blitz, Excerpt & Giveaway: Merry Christmas, Baby by Jill Shalvis
Wild
child Chloe Thompson can't believe how much things have changed. She still
can't get enough of her sexy husband Sawyer, but he seems to prefer working
to impending fatherhood. So tonight, a very pregnant Chloe is escaping her
troubles at the town Christmas party.
Sheriff Sawyer Thompson hopes surprising Chloe at the party will give him a chance to set things right. But as the snow begins to fall and the wind rages, he wonders whether he can make it back in time. While mother nature conspires to keep Sawyer and Chloe apart, an unexpected arrival will require them to kiss and make up . . . and ring in the happiest holiday Lucky Harbor has ever seen.
Excerpt
“It’s
only a week,” he said, and Chloe jumped.
He
was at her side again, all lethal stealth. He set her fast-acting asthma
inhaler on the nightstand for easy reach and then her cell phone, which he’d
no doubt charged for her since she’d forgotten. His bag hung from his
shoulder, and he watched her from those fathomless eyes. If she looked
closely she could see the gold flecks in them. Sometimes, when he laughed,
those flecks danced.
But
they were still now.
As
still as the man watching her.
“I
know,” she murmured. “Just a week. You’ll be back for the town Christmas
party. You promised to take me.”
His
jaw went a little tight. Parties weren’t exactly Mr. Social’s thing. “We
talked about this,” he said.
“Yes,
and you agreed to take me.”
He
shook his head. “I said it wasn’t a great idea, you exerting the energy to
dress up and go to a crowded event.”
“I’m
not a piece of china,” she said.
“No
one would ever mistake you for one,” he responded, and she was pretty sure it
wasn’t a compliment.
“But,”
he went on in that voice of steel, “you’re eight months pregnant and suffer
debilitating asthma. Give yourself a damn break.”
“I’ve
had one,” she said. “Maddie and Tara won’t even let me work at my own spa. I
need to get out, Sawyer. I need to see people.” Before her life changed
forever… “I’m going.”
“I’ll
be back,” was all he said.
“And
the party?”
“We’ll
see.”
Not
exactly a promise, but then again he was careful never to promise anything he
couldn’t deliver. His word, when he gave it, was good as gold.
He
lifted her chin and looked into her eyes for a long beat. “Dr. Tyler is only
a call away,” he said. “Your sisters are close by. Jax and Ford are in your
speed dials and are on standby for anything.”
Chloe’s
obstetrician was wonderful, and so were her sisters Maddie and Tara and their
husbands—Sawyer’s BFFs Jax and Ford. But if there was an emergency, it wasn’t
any of them that Chloe wanted.
It
was the tall testosterone and attitude-ridden man standing in front of her,
already long gone given the look on his face.
“I
want you to take care,” he said.
“You
heard what Dr. Tyler said the last time we were in her office for false
labor.” She patted her belly. “The Bean’s in for the long haul.”
“I
meant you,” Sawyer said. “Take care of you.”
Coming
from him, the words were tantamount to a shouted vow of love, and they moved
her as only Sawyer could. “Always,” she promised, softening. “And what about
you?”
“I
haven’t had any labor pains, false or otherwise,” he deadpanned.
That
got a laugh out of her.
He
smiled but it faded quickly. “You know you can text or email me, and that
I’ll call when I can,” he said. “And if anything happens—anything at all,
Chloe—I can be back here in two hours.”
“Anything?”
she asked playfully, trying to lighten the mood, using a voice that once upon
a time would’ve made him kick off his shoes and strip and crawl back into bed
with her, the hell with obligation and responsibility.
“I’ll
be here.” He met her gaze, his own serious. “Always.”
An
alarm on his watch beeped. He turned it off without taking his eyes from her.
She
blew out a breath. “You’ve gotta go.”
He
touched her face. “Chloe—”
She
closed her eyes and turned her jaw into his touch. “I know,” she said. “And
it’s okay. It’s all going to be okay.”
She
just hoped that was true.

An Excerpt from Fractured Lines by Jen McLaughlin
Fractured Lines by Jen McLaughlin will be releasing October 14th, but first we have some exclusive content to share. Each week, FINNClub team members will be sharing special details from the book, and series, in order to share their excitement for the new novel.
Today we have an excerpt from FRACTURED LINES! Watch out, it's spicy!
EXCERPT
I lowered my face even more. “I need you so damn bad. Let
me kiss you. Let me make it better. I know how to make it all better.”
I brushed my lips across hers gently, testing her
reaction. She kissed me back. So soft I barely felt it, and yet I somehow felt
it down to my soul.
With a small groan, I closed my mouth over hers, crushing
her against my chest and holding her so tightly I might have broken a rib. Man,
I’d been waiting for this moment. For her to stop shutting me out. For her to
want me as much as I needed her.
And now it was happening.
I slanted my mouth over hers, taking full control of the
kiss. Backing her up against the wall, my tongue glided inside her mouth at the
same time I slipped my leg in between hers. She gasped and opened her mouth
wider, granting me full access.
Without hesitation, I took it, and then I took some more.
Like the greedy asshole I really was. Part of me knew I should stop kissing her
until I was better, but the other part of me wanted her too damn badly to give
a shit about anything else. When I closed my hands around her hips, my fingers
digging into the soft sides of her ass, she broke off the kiss and took a shaky
breath.
I latched onto her neck, biting with just enough pressure
to sting. It had been too long since I’d had her. Too long since I’d held her.
Too long for everything. My injured leg protested against the weight I put on
it, but I ignored the cry of protest it gave. Any pain I had to suffer was
worth it, as long as Carrie was in my arms again, making those small sounds
that drove me fucking insane.
BOOK BLURB
The lines we once crossed so easily have widened and torn us apart…
Once upon a time I thought Finn and I would live happily ever after, but real life doesn't always have a happy ending. He's testing my trust, and I'm losing faith in the man I thought I'd spend the rest of my life with, and there’s nothing I do can stop it. He’s the one I trusted to keep me safe, but now he’s the source of my greatest pain…
Forgiveness is fragile, and some fractures never fully heal...
One mistake—a slip in a moment of weakness—might cost me everything I've worked so hard for. The thing about trust is that it's a lot easier to lose than it is to build. Just as I'm about to give up and surrender to the demons from my past, an unexpected threat reminds me what I'm best at: protecting the woman I love. Whether or not she wants me, I will fight for Carrie and our daughter, and I will keep them safe—no matter the cost.
Even if I have to put my life and my heart on the line.
